Our Practice

Minnesota Meditation Center is a Buddhist meditation center rooted in the Dhammakaya tradition of Buddhism, which emphasizes meditation as the path to inner peace and spiritual understanding. Our practice focuses on:

  • Meditation for Inner Peace: Learning to find stillness and clarity through guided meditation
  • Mindfulness in Daily Life: Bringing awareness and compassion to everyday experiences
  • Community Support: Growing together in a welcoming, supportive environment
  • Accessible Teachings: Buddhist wisdom presented in ways that anyone can understand and apply

Whether you're new to meditation or have been practicing for years, our tradition welcomes seekers of all backgrounds.

Minnesota Meditation Center is part of a network of 16 meditation centers across the United States and over 100 centers in 34 countries. View the global network.

Our Mission

To provide a peaceful, welcoming space where anyone can learn to meditate, find stillness, and connect with a community that genuinely cares about their wellbeing. Beyond weekly meditation classes, Minnesota Meditation Center serves as a Buddhist temple for the Twin Cities community, offering traditional ceremonies and services.

Everyone Is Welcome

Our center serves both the broader Twin Cities community and Minnesota's Thai and Lao communities. We offer English-language meditation classes and traditional Thai-language services. Classes are led by our resident monks.
